The Tale of the Flying Immortal Sword: Kathryne Dancing with the Breeze
In the vast world of this game, there are always some characters who, like shooting stars in the night sky, rarely appear but always inspire endless imagination. Recently, with the upcoming release of version 2.4 of “The Tides: Chorus 2.4,” a new character is about to emerge. Her name is Kathryne, a graceful Anemo-type character who wields the Flying Immortal Sword. Every strike, every slash of hers seems to carry the elegance of Yun Yao’s dance, as if bathed in the soft glow of moonlight, leaving onlookers captivated and smitten.
The Flying Immortal Sword: A Perfect Blend of Elegance and Power
Kathryne, a 5-star Anemo character, wields the legendary Flying Immortal Sword. Her sword moves like the wind, light as a swallow, dancing rather than fighting. Her HP stands at 77.0%, not exceptionally high but well-balanced. However, her attack power is truly astounding, with a base attack of 413, a number that undoubtedly delivers a fatal blow to any opponent. Her skill set is like a captivating melody—elegant yet intricate, requiring players to master the rhythm to unlock her full potential.
The sword, named “Kathryne,” has a base attack of 413 and increases HP by 12%. At R1, after casting a Variation skill or a Basic Attack, it ignores 8% of the target’s defense. When the target’s Erosion effect exceeds one layer, the damage dealt increases by 20%. While this sword may not match the legendary “Sword of the Wise Man of West Lake,” it possesses a unique charm, especially when facing enemies with multiple layers of Erosion effects, where its damage output significantly increases. It’s like a chess master, strategic and lethal in every move.
The Sword’s Aura Emerges: The Dual Charm of Form and Skills
Kathryne’s skill system is complex and intriguing, featuring two forms: Kathryne and Florence. The Florence form is triggered when Kathryne’s Resonance energy is full and can be activated by holding down the Resonance skill. In Florence form, Kathryne’s attack style and skills change, along with some enhanced effects, much like a martial arts master who can switch techniques at will, making it difficult for enemies to anticipate her moves.
Her Basic Attacks consist of four phases, each dealing Anemo damage and considered Erosion effect damage. The fourth Basic Attack applies two layers of Erosion effect and summons a “Shadow of the Divine Sword.” Her Charged Attack applies two layers of Erosion effect and summons a “Shadow of the Strange Sword.” Her Aerial Attack recovers all sword shadows on the field and enhances the damage and range of the subsequent Plunge Attack based on the number of shadows, also granting different buffs. She moves like a dancer, graceful and ethereal, dancing to the rhythm of battle.
Sword Shadows Soar: The Mystery and Power of Resonance Skills
Kathryne’s Resonance skill is named “This Sword in the Name of Man,” which applies two layers of Erosion effect and summons a “Shadow of the Human Sword.” In Florence form, her Resonance skill changes to “This Sword with the Intent of the Tide,” summoning a gravitational field at the target location that pulls enemies in and deals damage while granting Determination. In Florence form, the Resonance skill can be activated again to summon a massive sword shadow to descend and deal damage, much like a master strategist who can catch enemies off guard at any moment.
