Sword Charm and Divine Wind: Amidst the Vast Ocean and Sky, Sword Silhouettes Soar, the Peerless Goddess Descends Upon the Battlefield
The ocean breeze howls, waves crash against the shore, as if at the moment of the world’s creation. The air is filled with an indescribable, oppressive aura. On this battlefield eroded by the sea breeze, a goddess with mysterious sword silhouettes is about to arrive. This is Katalina, a unique entity who wields a sword as her medium and harnesses the wind as her power. She is not merely a swordsman but a being who has perfectly fused her essence with the wind element, as if the embodiment of the wind itself, possessing enigmatic power. In the upcoming June 12th update, version 2.4 of Tide Echoes, this dual-form character will bring players a brand-new combat experience.
A gentle breeze arrives, sword silhouettes dance. Her sword is no longer cold metal; it has transformed into the form of wind, capable of splitting into countless silhouettes at any moment, like a goddess scattering flowers, witnessing every swing of her blade. These silhouettes are not merely visual effects; they are the core mechanism of her combat system. Each silhouette holds boundless power, like wind spirits, always ready to serve her.
Her combat system features three distinct types of sword silhouettes: Divine, Human, and Otherworldly. Each basic attack, heavy strike, or resonance skill she performs summons the corresponding silhouette on the battlefield. These silhouettes act as loyal guardians, ever-prepared to be called upon. With a mere wave of her hand, the silhouettes swirl like a tempest, delivering relentless damage. These silhouettes are not static; they are absorbed during her plunge attacks, converting into powerful additional damage, like the roar of the wind, unleashing devastating blows.
When her resonance energy reaches its maximum, she transforms into Ecludris. This transformation is shrouded in mystery, akin to a metamorphosis under moonlight, elevating her combat style to new heights. In her Ecludris form, each type of sword silhouette on the field grants her different enhancements. This transformation not only introduces a new combat style but also fundamentally changes her approach. Her health is reduced to 50% of its maximum, but she gains a 60% increase in wind damage. This seemingly disadvantageous transformation, however, opens up greater possibilities for her in battle.
Every attack accumulates “resolve,” and when it reaches 120 points, she can unleash her powerful resonance skill, “Tidal Fury Blade.” This resonance not only restores 70% of her health but also deals massive wind damage to all enemies in a straight line before her, as if a deity descending to whip the earth with thunder, shattering all foes. Each layer of wind erosion consumed increases the damage by 20%, up to a maximum of five layers. This makes the skill her most devastating attack in combat.
During battle, her variable skill, “This Sword, for the Ocean’s Past,” plays a crucial role. Whether summoning the Otherworldly silhouette in her Katalina form or gaining resolve through thrust attacks in her Ecludris form, this skill is an indispensable companion in her battles.
Her extension skill, “Listen to the Tide’s Benediction,” provides additional damage enhancements to other party members. When other characters in the party attack enemies with abnormal statuses, they gain a 20% increase in damage for 20 seconds. This skill not only amplifies overall party damage but also showcases her supportive capabilities, making her an invaluable asset to any team.
